The Oscars 'Moonlight' Wins Best Picture, But 'La La' Gets Trophy In EPIC Screwup!!
Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway pulled a Steve Harvey -- announcing "La La Land" won Best Picture, when it was really supposed to go to "Moonlight" ... and the fallout was hysterical.
In the greatest Oscars ending ever ... Warren and Faye called the 'La La' crew up onstage -- and they were several minutes into their acceptance speeches before someone figured out the massive screwup.
If you missed it you gotta see how it played out -- stage managers looked like Keystone Cops running around onstage. To their credit, the 'La La' folks graciously handed over their Oscars when the "Moonlight" cast and crew came up.
As for what went wrong? Watch ... Warren's explanation is an instant Hollywood classic, but basically he and Faye were handed the wrong card -- the one for Emma Stone's Best Actress win ... which had been handed out just before Best Picture.
Price Waterhouse just explained the obvious ... "The presenters had mistakenly been given the wrong category envelope and when discovered, was immediately corrected." Truth be told, not immediately. Also, why were there 2 "Best Actress" cards?
And get this -- Leo DiCaprio might be unwittingly involved! Best we can tell ... he walked off the stage holding Emma's envelope after her acceptance speech. We don't know what happened backstage, but somehow that card -- or a duplicate of it -- ended up in Warren and Faye's hands.

The Oscars JT, Janelle, Meryl & More ... Dressed to Kill
Most celebs at the 89th Academy Awards did NOT win an Oscar statuette, but they still tried like hell to win when it comes to dressing for the occasion.
Nominees like Meryl Streep, Denzel Washington, Viola Davis, Ryan Gosling, Nicole Kidman, Justin Timberlake, and Janelle Monae came dressed to the nines, as did a ton of other celebs ... whether they were up for awards or just attending.
Check 'em all out, flashing their couture. No lack of glamour or cleavage here!
Naomie Harris I Won for 'Moonlight' But I Feel Bad for 'La La Land'
Naomie Harris was happy enough her movie won Best Picture, but she clearly feels the pain of the "La La Land" cast and crew.
We got Naomie leaving the Vanity Fair party Sunday night in Bev Hills, and the luster of winning clearly lost a little of its shine.

Iranian Director Asghar Farhadi Blasts Trump's Travel Ban After Oscar Win
The Iranian director who was almost banned from attending the Oscars because of Donald Trump's travel ban blasted the Prez after he won Sunday ... but did it in writing.
Asghar Farhadi had a rep read a statement after winning the Best Foreign Film award for his movie "The Salesman" ... in which he explained his absence.
Farhadi -- who's won an Oscar before -- said he is standing in solidarity with his own country -- as well as the other 6 in Trump's now-blocked EO -- to protest the ban.
Since the ban was nullified by the courts, he could have attended had he wanted.

Jimmy Kimmel Uses 'Over-Rated' Streep To Jab Trump at Oscars
Jimmy Kimmel took a huge sarcastic swipe at President Trump ... all in support of some up and coming actress named Meryl Streep.
In the middle of Jimmy's opening monologue for the 89th Oscars he put the spotlight on Meryl by referencing Trump's "over-rated" tweet about her ... following her scathing speech about him in January.
Jimmy's obviously killed in what's definitely NOT a Trump-friendly room.
Ya gotta imagine Trump's Twitter finger is itching.

Terrence Howard I Got Oscar Robbed So Watch Out, Denzel
Terrence Howard isn't so sure Denzel Washington will bring home the Oscar, because he says he deserved it back in the day but went home empty.
We got the "Empire" star Saturday at the Independent Spirit Awards when he groused that he should have won best actor in 2006 for "Hustle & Flow." BTW ... it went to Philip Seymour Hoffman for "Capote."

Barry Zito I Wouldn't Trade Cy Young For Grammy ... But 10 Grammys??
What's cooler -- winning a Cy Young or a Grammy??
3-time MLB All-Star Barry Zito is trying to add to his trophy cabinet 'cause he wants BOTH!!
BZ's got a Cy Young -- given to the best pitcher in baseball -- from '02 with the Oakland A's. But now that the southpaw traded his glove for a guitar, would he give up the highest pitching honor to be recognized in the music industry?!
Zito's working on it. He released a 6-track country album titled "No Secrets" back in January ... and it's been a hit, appearing on several Billboard charts (#15, Americana/Folk Album Sales and #18, Heatseekers Albums).

Khloe Kardashian Bathroom Surprise
Khloe Kardashian made a surprise appearance this weekend ... in a ladies room ... in Jamaica.
A fan ran into Khloe Saturday night in the bathroom of Fiction Fantasy nightclub during an after-party for the Youth View Awards -- essentially Jamaica's Teen Choice Awards.
Needless to say, it was an unexpected -- and probably awkward -- meet and greet. Even so, Khloe took it in stride, and was even happy to pose for a few pics.
The Kardashians ... pissin' all over world.

Grammys Secret Committee Torpedoes Black Artists Village People Singer Claims
-
EXCLUSIVE
4:00 PM PT -- The Recording Academy tells us it has no "secret committees," and adds there's plenty of info regarding the Nominations Review Committees (to which our post refers) on its website.
A spokesperson says members of the Review Committee "are not disclosed to ensure fairness and neutrality." This prevents them from being lobbied.
A secret committee for the Grammys is in place to undermine the rank-and-file voters if they choose to give plum awards to black artists like Beyonce ... so claims the original lead singer of Village People.
Victor Willis sent a
to the President of the Recording Academy, demanding he "come clean" over the existence of a clandestine group that was supposedly formed after Lionel Richie beat Bruce Springsteen for the 1985 Album of the Year.
According to Willis, the committee's purpose is to "override the decision of Grammy voters in the event the select committee does not like who the Grammy voter has chosen" for the 4 top awards.
He goes on to strongly suggest a racial element, saying, "The question is how many African Americans are on that committee?" He says in the letter, "If certain people at the Grammys don't like who the voters have chosen, a Grammy committee will simply override the voters and subsequently select who they think should win. Like Adele, maybe?"
We did some research, and it does appear there is a secret committee, but from what we can gather, the committee is designed to knock out embarrassing nominations -- like, say, Milli Vanilli. However, once the nominations are locked, the voters have the final say ... at least that's what we've found.

CeeLo Green A Gold Me At the Grammys? You Must Be Crazy!
CeeLo Green says he was nowhere in sight at the Grammys ... even though we all could have sworn that was him in the gold martian suit.
We got CeeLo Tuesday night leaving Delilah in WeHo, where he denied being the little gold man turning heads on the red carpet Sunday.
He is known to rock alter egos every now and then ... sounds like this could be his latest.

Metallica Stagehand Screwed Us at Grammys ... Accidentally, We Think
The Metallica duet with Lady Gaga at the Grammys was doomed by a stagehand who got reckless with James Hetfield's mic ... seconds before they went live.
Sources connected to the production tell us everything was fine right before the "Moth Into Flame" collab was about to begin. Gaga and the band's line check, right before the performance, went off without a hitch.
However, between the mic check and their act ... a wire under the stage got unplugged. We're told a stagehand did it by accident, but the damage was done -- Hetfield's mic was dead through most of the performance. They eventually fixed the unplugged wire with seconds left in the song. We reached out the Grammys, but no word back yet.
James handled it all like a pro, 'cause that's rock 'n' roll.
Insult to injury? Laverne Cox forgot to mention Metallica in her intro.
I am so sorry to #Metallica and all their fans. I am told I didn't say their names during the intro. Love you Metallica. You Rock. #Grammys

Grammys Party Ed Sheeran Turned Down Cold
You'd think Ed Sheeran -- a 2 time Grammy winner with 9 more nominations -- would breeze into a Grammys after-party but NOOOOO!
Ed hit up Milk Studios in L.A. for the shindig but the front door proved elusive, and not just for him. Adrien Brody and super DJ Pete Tong also got the cold shoulder.
NeNe Leakes had trouble making her entrance but managed to make it in later in the evening.
And worst of all ... they ran out of In-N-Out burgers.

The Game Sorry, Beyonce ... Adele Deserved To Win

The Game skipped the Grammys -- he wasn't nominated -- but he did weigh in on Adele beating Queen Bey for the night's top 3 honors Sunday on his way into Playhouse in Hollywood.
Game also makes it clear ... Grammys ain't his thing.

Beyonce Takes It Easy For Grammy Performance
Beyonce just hit the stage -- plus 2 -- at The Grammys and kept things low-key ... sitting for most of her performance.
Bey opened her set with a video montage before appearing on stage at Staples Center to sing "Love Drought" and then took a seat for "Sand Castles." She also recited poetry from her Lemonade album.
The singer kept movements minimal ... taking a seat for most of the performance.
It's the first time we've seen Beyonce since the announcing she was pregnant with twins.
To nobody's surprise, everyone was on their feet when she wrapped.
