2:18 PM PT -- Will Arnett is reacting to the news ... saying he'll miss his 'Arrested' co-star. He said, "Jessica Walter was a deeply talented person. We first met on a pilot in ‘96 and I was instantly blown away. I’m fortunate to have had a front row seat to her brilliance for 25 years."

UPDATE

He finished his tweet saying, "My thoughts are with her daughter Brooke and grandson Micah today. Farewell Jessica, you’ll be missed."

Jessica Walter, known for her Emmy-nominated "Arrested Development" role and whose acting career spanned 6 decades, has died.

The actress died in her sleep at her NYC home Wednesday ... according to her daughter, who did not announce the cause of her death.

Jessica's best known, and beloved, for playing the devious alcoholic socialite Lucille Bluth on 'Arrested.' She appeared in all 84 episodes during the series, from 2003 to 2019, and was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in 2005.

She won an Emmy in 1975 for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series as the title character of the NBC miniseries, "Amy Prentiss." Jessica also got Emmy noms for roles on "Trapper John, M.D." and "The Streets of San Francisco."

True film aficionados will remember her role in Clint Eastwood's directorial debut in "Play Misty for Me." New school fans will recognize her voice as Malory Archer on the hit FX animated series "Archer."

Jessica is survived by her daughter, Brooke Bowman ... the Senior VP for programming at FOX Entertainment who said, "It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the passing of my beloved mom Jessica. A working actor for over six decades, her greatest pleasure was bringing joy to others through her storytelling both on screen and off."

Bowman added, "While her legacy will live on through her body of work, she will also be remembered by many for her wit, class and overall joie de vivre."

The family's asking that, in lieu of flowers, donations are made to Guide Dogs for the Blind.

RIP

Brad Pitt Once Upon a Time at In-N-Out ... With Gal Pal Alia Shawkat!!!

Brad Pitt's got one hell of an appetite ... for burgers and more friendly hangouts with gal pal Alia Shawkat.

The "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" star and Ali were spotted at In-N-Out in L.A. the day after they both also hit up a Thundercat show at The Wiltern. Brad, seen wearing the same hat he wore at the concert, used to be one party animal -- no word if he went animal style at the burger joint.

In any event ... here's hoping Brad's finally put an end to the whole In-N-Out vs. Shake Shack debate. But, one thing's for sure ... Brad and Alia really do enjoy each other's company.

As we reported ... Brad and Alia hanging out is nothing new for them. They've been going to concerts, comedy shows, museums and galleries together for months. As friends, that is.

Jeffrey Tambor Down for More 'Arrested Development' ... If They'll Have Him

Jeffrey Tambor
FINGERS CROSSED
TMZ.com

Jeffrey Tambor's unapologetic when it comes to lobbying for more work on "Arrested Development" ... sexual misconduct allegations be damned.

We got Jeffrey out Monday in NYC, and wanted to know if he's up for being on 'AD' for season 6? ICYMI ... Jeffrey showed up to the season 5 premiere last week alongside the 'Arrested' cast, which stands by him despite allegations he sexually harassed his assistant and a "Transparent" costar. Amazon fired him from "Transparent" in February, though he says he quit and denied the allegations.

'Arrested' creator Mitch Hurwitz reportedly said last week he stuck with Tambor for season 5 because the Netflix show had already been filmed when allegations first surfaced. That aside, Hurwitz said he wasn't gonna cut Tambor based purely on allegations.

For his part, Tambor told us the vibe on set is great ... so, if they're game, so is he.

Rob Lowe Behind the ... Lucille Bluth?

Here's Rob Lowe as Liberace's age-defying plastic surgeon Dr. Jack Startz in the HBO movie "Behind the Candelabra" (left) -- and Jessica Walter as family matriarch Lucille Bluth on the cult TV show "Arrested Development" (right).

Wink.

We're just sayin'.

Steve Holt Throwing EPIC 'Arrested Development' Party STEVE HOLT!!!

"Arrested Development" star Justin Wade -- who plays Steve Holt on the show (STEVE HOLT!!!) -- couldn't be more excited for the big premiere on Netflix this weekend ... telling TMZ, he's planning to throw a massive rager to commemorate the big day.

Wade tells us, the festivities will kick off Sunday afternoon at his L.A. apartment -- and he's already invited more than 25 friends to come over and get crazy.

The episodes are going live at midnight on Saturday (12:01am PST Sunday) -- after AD's 7-year hiatus -- but Wade says he and his friends plan to warm things up by re-watching some old favorites ... i.e. the episodes Wade stars in.

Oh yeah, Wade says he's also invited former AD castmate Justin Lee, who played Annyong.

Sounds like fun. Thanks Steve Holt!
