Cardi B came in hot, defending herself against haters who questioned her using her phone notes for a speech at VP Kamala Harris' rally Friday night.

The rapper didn’t hold back on TikTok, dropping some choice words for her critics as she explained she did put serious effort into her speech, but had to jot it down -- because, well, juggling life as a mom of 3 isn’t exactly light work.

Cardi admitted she went all in for Friday -- even talking about how she rehearses in the shower for important events ... but then sometimes blanks when it's time to do the face-to-face speaking.

Justine Knight, executive director at Triangle Aphasia Project tells TMZ … aphasia doesn't affect a person's intelligence -- but, it can affect their ability to read, write or speak. So her org. makes sure people undestand their rights to accomodation.

For example, Knight explains her dad has aphasia ... and, he chooses to vote by mail so he has time to process the ballot and use his two communication partners -- Justine and her husband -- to cast the vote he means to.

Kamala Harris says she's always looking out for her own ... putting her rally on pause to direct medics to someone who needs help -- and, saying that's what leadership's all about.

The veep hosted a star-studded rally in Atlanta Saturday ... and, when she finally came out to speak, it seems she noticed a supporter who was in distress -- and, she immediately stopped her speech to help get medics to her.

Social media flew into a frenzy Saturday morning when an apparent press release from Donald Trump’s campaign called for justice for Peanut the squirrel … but it was all a hoax, TMZ has learned.

Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung tells us a statement that spread on X like wildfire was not real … Trump had not addressed the confiscated and euthanized squirrel controversy.

In the fake release, Trump was quoted as saying in part … “If Peanut could have told them he was from Mexico, they would have sent him on his way and given him a hotel room and a $500 gift card to Buddy Squirrel. Instead, he was taken from his family. Very sad, and a complete waste of resources!”

Cardi B is doubling down on her endorsement of Kamala Harris ... speaking at the Democratic nominee's rally in Milwaukee, Wisconsin Friday evening.
