Donald Trump's firing back at Bill Maher finally ... calling him a "befuddled mess" about one week after the show host speculated Trump was sleeping with far-right activist Laura Loomer.

The former POTUS fired off a long Truth Social post Saturday morning ... taking aim at Maher, MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle and New York Times contributor Bret Stephens for their panel on "Real Time with Bill Maher" Friday night.

You can read the post for yourself ... but, basically, Trump calls Maher a sloppy and tired host who's obsessed with him -- slamming his "B and C list guests" who always seem to take aim at him.

Vice President Kamala Harris is making her stance on the 2nd Amendment abundantly clear ... issuing a bold warning to potential home intruders.

The Democratic nominee for President sat down with Oprah Winfrey Thursday evening, and she voiced her support for the U.S. Constitution's 2nd Amendment -- which protects a citizen's right to bear arms.

11:00 AM PT -- Nassau County PD Commissioner Patrick Ryder tells TMZ ... "Reports of explosives being found at the site are unfounded. There is a person who is being questioned who may have been training a bomb detection dog near the site. The individual with the bomb dog falsely reported explosives being found and that individual is currently being detained by the police."

After two assassination attempts on Donald Trump's life this year, a fresh threat was reported Wednesday -- and though it's been dismissed as bogus, it’s probably not doing much to ease  Trump and his team’s nerves.

This morning, journalist James Lalino claimed in an X post ... Nassau County Police Department sources told him the perimeter at Trump’s Long Island rally site at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum was apparently "breached" and a "blue barrel" was removed.

Lalino also claimed during a K9 sweep, authorities supposedly found an explosive device in one of the vehicles nearby, and the driver fled into the woods.

4:28 PM PT -- A spokesperson for J.D. Vance tells TMZ ... "The media is making a story up out of thin air. Senator Vance was referring to the fact that he prefers fried chicken, and his wife prefers curry chicken. Fried chicken was a staple in the Vance household when JD was a kid, as he wrote in Hillbilly Elegy."

J.D. Vance is catching heat for taking Laura Loomer's racist Kamala Harris diss to the next level ... adding fried chicken to the mix, along with a side of curry.

In a recent interview on NBC News' "Meet The Press," Vance tells Kristen Welker ... "Whether you're eating curry at your dinner table or fried chicken, things have gotten more expensive thanks to her policies."

Vance was being asked about Loomer's recent racist comments aimed at the Vice President ... namely, saying if Harris, whose mom was Indian American, got elected, the White House would "smell like curry."

Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish are "Birds of a Feather" when it comes to their election plans ... as the 22-year-old singer is voicing her support for Kamala Harris.

The pop star took to Instagram alongside brother and music producer Finneas Tuesday, where they encouraged their U.S. followers to register to vote ... and endorsed the Vice President of the United States in her bid for the White House.

Billie said ... "We are voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz because they are fighting to protect our reproductive freedom, our planet, and our Democracy."

New body cam footage of the arrest of Ryan Wesley Routh, the suspected would-be Donald Trump assassin, explains why Martin County Sheriff William Snyder "was taken aback" over the capture.

Watch the video ... Routh is seen calmly walking backward with his shirt lifted over his head as sheriff's deputies holding guns shout instructions at him. The suspect barely utters a word while following directions to a T ... keeping his composure as he surrenders to the authorities, who slap a pair of handcuffs on him.

He even offers up his name without protest when asked by deputies to identify himself ... showing he was not rattled during the high-profile arrest.

The Secret Service is once again facing heat after the agency's acting director Ronald Rowe Jr. admitted the West Palm Beach golf course wasn't searched prior to the 2nd assassination attempt on Donald Trump's life.

Rowe -- who stepped into the role after Kimberly Cheatle resigned following the July shooting at Trump's Pennsylvania rally -- spoke with reporters Monday, and confessed an extensive search of the grounds was not conducted during 45's visit to the Trump International Golf Club in Florida Sunday ... defending the visit was "not on [Trump's] official schedule."

He added ... "The president wasn’t even really supposed to go there ... and so we put together a security plan -- and that security plan worked."

Ryan Wesley Routh, the man accused of attempting to assassinate Donald Trump at his West Palm Beach golf course, once exposed himself to a woman who hired him to do construction on her home ... TMZ has learned.

We obtained a photo of a shirtless Ryan with his penis poking out of his fly ... and the woman who took the photo says she snapped it in December 2020, when he was building a loft at her home in Hawaii.

The woman tells TMZ ... she found Ryan on Facebook and paid him $4,000 for a 4-day home construction job ... only to find out he was a "bit of a pervert," as she described him.

The Ohio Division of Wildlife tells TMZ the real deal behind the viral pic -- the guy was actually picking up 2 geese that were hit in a Columbus car accident. And by the way, that's 45 minutes from Springfield, where Trump's wild claims supposedly took place.

The wildlife org clarified to us you usually need a statement or receipt from the county sheriff or wildlife officer to claim an animal carcass. But the Franklin County Wildlife Office tells TMZ that for geese, you don’t always need a receipt ... so the guy was totally in the clear to have them.

People who hate on mail-in ballots are going to be howling at the moon after this one ... 'cause a couple astronauts are casting their votes from the International Space Station.

Barry "Butch" Wilmore and Sunita Williams -- the 2 astronauts who went up to space on the Boeing Starliner, and who are now stuck after safety concerns with their craft arose -- spoke with reporters Friday ... and, they say they still plan on voting.

Wilmore says he sent his request for a ballot down to Earth Friday ... adding that NASA helps all its astronauts secure ballots. Both astronauts touched on how they feel it's their civic duty to cast their votes come the first Tuesday in November.
