Barry Keoghan’s going from "Saltburn" to "Here Comes the Sun" -- 'cause Ringo Starr's passed him the drumsticks to play him in the upcoming 4-part Beatles film series!

The Irish actor's name has been attached to the project for months ... and Ringo basically confirmed the casting news, telling Entertainment Tonight he thought it was "great" that the Oscar-nominated star would be playing him in the Sam Mendes-directed movie series.

Ringo added that Barry’s already prepping for the role, saying, "I believe he’s somewhere taking drum lessons, and I hope not too many."

Elon Musk's using a movie reference to roast Ben Stiller ... but, he's got some up in arms over his choice of using an offensive slur.

Here's the deal ... Elon shared a post on X of someone bashing Ben for saying wokeness is killing edgier comedy and endorsing Kamala Harris over Donald Trump in this year's election.

Donald Trump's incoming appointees are already receiving vicious backlash from some in the country ... with nearly a dozen incoming members of the team receiving violent threats, according to the campaign.

The Trump-Vance transition team announced the news Wednesday morning ... sharing a press release about the "vicious, unAmerican threats to their lives and those who live with them.

Chad Ollinger found himself in trouble with the law this week after being arrested in Texas, stemming from an alleged police chase on his motorcycle that escalated into a foot pursuit ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... the incident unfolded around 9 PM on Monday night when Chad, who appears on Discovery Channel's "Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch," was riding his black Harley Davidson and ran a stop light in front of an unmarked police car. We're told officers attempted to pull him over, but he initially refused to stop, leading to a brief pursuit.

When Chad pulled over on his motorcycle, he allegedly ditched it and ran on foot from cops. The chase allegedly ended when officers finally caught up with him and placed him under arrest.

Our law enforcement sources say Chad is facing two charges -- evading arrest/detention with a vehicle and evading arrest/detention on foot.

He was initially booked into the county jail, but he posted bond and was released Tuesday.
