Photogs caught up with the Texas politician outside the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Washington, D.C. -- where he encouraged Tinseltown's biggest names, many of whom are Democrats, to take a closer look at the Republican party ... claiming they actually represent what people want.

As Senator Cruz put it ... the Democratic party saw a big loss on election night as they don't "actually understand what working people are like."

Pete Davidson is not nursing a broken heart in rehab ... this according to his falsely alleged ex-girlfriend, Maria Georgas, who shut down the growing rumors about the actor.

ICYMI ... a report circulated Sunday that the comedian had allegedly checked himself into rehab after finding himself in "bad shape" after splitting from "The Bachelor" alum.

Alec Baldwin is not off the hook for Halyna Hutchins' death as far as the "Rust" cinematographer's Ukrainian family is concerned -- her mother is ripping into him, and refusing to attend the film's debut screening.

Olga Solovey says Baldwin "continues to increase my pain with his refusal to apologize to me and his refusal to take responsibility for her death. Instead, he seeks to unjustly profit from his killing of my daughter."

Diddy's lawyers are calling BS on federal prosecutors who have claimed they did not seize the mogul's trial strategy materials during a recent raid of his jail cell.

According to new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, Diddy's lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, says prison officials took photos of 19 pages of material from Diddy's cell -- which he says included 11 pages of trial strategy notes and correspondence with his lawyers.

The feds claimed Monday in legal docs they saw a manila folder labeled "legal" and did not even open it. They acknowledged taking photos of Diddy's notebook which they say they handed over to a "filter team" to check whether any of the material was privileged. Now Diddy's lawyers are calling shenanigans.

Donald Trump's win on Election Day is postponing the conclusion of his historic legal loss -- Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg wants a judge to put the president-elect's sentencing on a back burner ... until 2029.

Bragg announced Tuesday he's recommending Trump's 34 felony count conviction -- related to the hush money payments to Stormy Daniels -- be put off until Trump is out of office.

In a letter to the judge, Bragg says, "The People deeply respect the Office of the President, are mindful of the demands and obligations of the presidency, and acknowledge that Defendant's inauguration will raise unprecedented legal questions."
