Will Smith totally stunned fans of his hit 'Bad Boys' franchise Friday ... dropping in at a random L.A.-area screening.

The actor shared a clip to his Instagram, where he hits a theater in Baldwin Hills -- a neighborhood in Los Angeles -- donning a mask to keep a low profile while joining the crowd at "Bad Boys: Ride or Die" which was released wide yesterday.

Smith says it's a tradition for him ... whenever he has a new flick coming out, he goes to a few different showings of the flick -- one on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Ian McKellen's got a morbid standard for the parts he takes ... picturing his legacy if the next role happened to be his last -- and, admitting there's one film he'd do in a heartbeat.

The actor -- who turned 85 last month -- sat down for an interview with "The Sunday Times" and revealed whenever a script comes in he considers it like it may be the last part he ever plays.

He says those stakes make him turn down many projects ... and push him to be his best version on stage or screen -- 'cause he may not get another shot at it.

2:00 PM PT -- George Lopez's team has responded to the claims, placing the blame at the feet of Eagle Mountain Casino in a statement to TMZ, saying, "It’s the venue or casino’s job to provide a good experience for both the artist and the fans, but the casino failed in this regard. The audience was overserved and unruly, and the casino staff was unable to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for the artist and guests."

"George’s personal security team worked with the venue security staff to maintain order, ensure safety, and eject disruptive individuals. Unfortunately, the casino security team was not adequate to accomplish this task. George is not obligated to perform in an unsafe environment. He feels badly that those who came to see the show were unable to do so as a result.”
