1:17 PM -- NBA commissioner Adam Silver just addressed the tragedy ... saying, "The NBA mourns the sudden passing of Golden State assistant coach Dejan Milojević, a beloved colleague and dear friend to so many in the global basketball community."

"In addition to winning the 2022 NBA Championship in his first season with the Warriors and mentoring some of the best players in the world, Dejan had a decorated international playing career and was a distinguished head coach in his native Serbia."

"Our heartfelt condolences go out to his wife, Natasa, their children, Nikola and Masa, and the Warriors organization during this tragic time."

Golden State Warriors assistant coach and former professional basketball player Dejan Milojević has passed away. He was just 46 years old.

Milojević suffered a heart attack during dinner at a Salt Lake City restaurant on Tuesday ... and despite life-saving efforts, he tragically passed late Wednesday afternoon, the team revealed in a statement.

The Warriors were in Utah to face off against the Jazz -- a game that was slated to go down Wednesday night, but has since been postponed.

The Serbian power forward went unpicked in the 1999 NBA Draft, but he had a stellar career in Europe nonetheless -- winning ABA League MVP honors three straight times.

He also won the ABA scoring title in consecutive seasons.

Milojević's playing career ended in 2009 ... and he found success leading the bench for organizations in Serbia and Montenegro before joining the Warriors in 2021. He coached several future NBA players -- most notably two-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic.

He also spent time as an assistant coach for the Serbian national team.

On the Golden State staff, Milojević focused on helping the big men on the roster ... and won a championship when the Warriors beat the Boston Celtics in the 2022 NBA Finals.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr released a statement on Milojević's passing ... saying the entire organization is "devastated."

"This is a shocking and tragic blow for everyone associated with the Warriors and an incredibly difficult time for his family, friends, and all of us who had the incredible pleasure to work with him," Kerr said.

"In addition to being a terrific basketball coach, Dejan was one of the most positive and beautiful human beings I have ever known, someone who brought joy and light to every single day with his passion and energy."

Cordell Patrick, the man ejected from a moving RV, says he's lucky to be alive ... because he thought he was going to die on that busy Los Angeles area freeway.

Cordell joined us on "TMZ Live" Wednesday from his hospital bed ... and he told us how he ended up being thrown from his RV onto the freeway.

It's pretty incredible ... Cordell says he was getting up to use the bathroom and took off his seatbelt in the 5-second window where his wife passed out behind the wheel and veered into the median.

Cordell says the impact sent him crashing through the driver-side window ... and his body flying over the median and landing on the other side of the freeway, inches away from the carpool lane.

As he lay on the freeway with his mangled ankle, Cordell says he thought he was going to be run over by a car ... telling us it's a miracle he was able to make it out of harms way.

Cordell says he and his wife had just gotten back from a trip and were heading to their storage unit when she suddenly blacked out and crashed.

She's getting medical attention too, and Cordell says they're still trying to figure out why she passed out.

Nikki Haley said America has never been a racist country -- but Whoopi Goldberg would beg to differ ... and she's ready to list the ugly receipts that prove the exact opposite.

The talk show host tackled this topic on "The View" Wednesday -- this a day after the Republican presidential candidate went on FOX News to rebuke the notion that America is a racist nation ... but in the same breath, denied the U.S. has ever that problem.

Of course, that's a ridiculous statement ... and just factually wrong. Not only did we have slaves in this country for a good long while -- but America was a segregated nation through much of the 20th century as well. Basic history ... but NH seems to be trying to blur it.

Welp, Whoopi wasn't having any of Haley's obfuscation ... and she unloaded on her in no uncertain terms in an impassioned speech as she was intro'ing this topic at the table.

Check out what she has to say for yourself -- she says all the lynching of Black people over the years wasn't carried out by them ... but by racist Americans, and you can tell she's outraged by Haley's attempt to downplay this country's past.

The reason this latest slip-up from her stands out is the fact that just recently suggested the Civil War was not really about slavery -- something she tried to clarify after the fact ... but raised a lot of eyebrows when she said it.

Things didn't get better when she further tried distancing herself from those remarks at a Republican town hall ... using the old "I have Black friends" line to defend herself.

Sophie Turner and her ex, Joe Jonas, seem to have things figured out, for now, as pertains to custody of their kids ... which is why she's telling a judge to drop her whole "child abduction" claim from last year.

Per new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, attorneys for the former couple are asking the judge in their federal case out of New York -- which Sophie first filed in September -- to dismiss the entire action ... this in light of the parenting plan they hashed out back in October.

In other words, they're signaling here that they're both on the same page to dismiss this case ... and it all has to do with what they've worked out custody-wise in the UK courts.

While a judge has yet to officially sign off ... this thing is all but gone -- which is a big deal considering how dramatic it was when ST first ran to court citing a child abduction law.

You'll recall ... when she invoked that statute -- claiming, at the time, Joe was preventing their 2 children from traveling to see her across the pond by allegedly withholding their passports -- it elevated that whole matter to a federal level. So, it was on Uncle Sam's radar.

She also claimed they, as a family, had decided England would become their permanent home ... but because Joe was allegedly keeping the kids in NY amid their still-fresh divorce filing, she claimed his actions ran afoul of international child abduction laws.

Since then, of course, she and Joe have landed in a much better place -- yes, their divorce is still proceeding, but they've temporarily worked out who gets the kids and when ... which they're citing here as the reason that this lawsuit she submitted can now go bye-bye.

This just further signals continued efforts by the exes to hash things out privately -- for the sake of their daughters, we assume -- after they kicked off their public split on a particularly bitter foot.

First signs of the pair trying to work things out emerged in October ... they agreed to a temporary child custody arrangement -- with the kids going back & forth between them over holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas and in between.

It appears other aspects of the divorce are still being worked out ... but in the meantime, they both seem to have moved on romantically -- Sophie moving on to British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson and Joe to model Stormi Bree.

Dua Lipa is ready to go public with her new boo officially -- 'cause she brought him to one of the most photographed hot spots in L.A., and made out with the dude in front of cameras.

The singer hit up Sushi Park in WeHo Tuesday night with none other than Callum Turner -- the British actor fella she's been hanging out with a lot lately. Welp, all the speculation about them being a thing was absolutely correct ... 'cause they sealed the deal with a kiss.

The new couple were all smiles as they left the joint ... and right as they were crossing the famed walkway, DL and CT stopped to smooch for a bit -- showing off major PDA.

Like we said ... this is a spot celebs hit all the time in L.A., especially if they wanna be seen out. So, the fact Dua trotted Callum out here speaks volumes ... and it's just the next natural progression for how things have been going for them over the past week.

Remember, it all started with some video TMZ got that showed the two of them slow-dancing at an after-party for his Apple TV show ... and not long after, they went to dinner together.

On its face, it felt like Dua and Callum realized the cat was outta the bag ... and they decided to just get it over with and come out as an item. Their outing earlier this week wasn't the smoking gun on a relationship -- but this sushi date most certainly is.

Richard Simmons wants to make it crystal clear he has absolutely NO involvement in an upcoming biopic starring Pauly Shore -- which is now officially in development and coming to a theater near you soon ... TMZ has learned.

Richard's rep reiterated to us Wednesday that Pauly's project -- which just recently got the green light -- isn't authorized, and notes Richard might not even be aware the movie's on the Hollywood conveyor belt at this point.

We're told Pauly and Richard's team spoke last year about PS portraying him in a film, but Richard's people told the comedian the timing wasn't right for Richard to get on board.

We already knew Pauly didn't have RS' blessing for this project -- something Pauly really sought -- and now ... we know Richard's position hasn't changed, though his rep says there will come a time when Richard wants to tell his story. Pauly's thing just ain't it, though.

Remember ... Pauly told us in September he was getting a pitch ready for Richard, and now Deadline is reporting a biopic is being developed over at The Wolper Organization, a subsidiary of Warner Bros. The rest of the deets on who else might be coming aboard to help make this thing a reality are unclear for now -- but Pauly says he's "excited."

Pauly is also portraying Richard in a short film called "The Court Jester," which is premiering this week at The Sundance Film Festival in Utah.

Richard has not been seen in public for years -- but, in 2022, TMZ released "TMZ Investigates: What Really Happened to Richard Simmons" on FOX and Hulu ... which drew a huge response and resulted in Richard posting a rare message to his fans.

Pauly and Richard have some connections ... they've known each other for decades, and Richard also knew Pauly's late mother, Comedy Store owner Mitzi Shore ... but, so far, they're not connecting for this flick.

We'll see what comes of it in the end, and whether Richard changes his tune once it's actually out. Considering his incredible story, it also sounds like an Oscar waiting to happen.

No sign of Samuel L. Jackson, but the crew of a Thai AirAsia flight did its best to handle a snake on their plane, and the passengers freaking out as it slithered out of the overhead compartment.

Check out the insane video -- the little brown and white belly-crawler's inching its way along the top of the storage area, prompting at least one passenger to flee the scene.

Now, we'll admit it's not the most intimidating-looking serpent ... but, keep in mind, even tiny snakes can pack potent venom ... so, passengers had every right to panic.

No worries though, the crack flight crew was on it ... first attempting to catch the little guy in a plastic water bottle, and when that didn't work they knocked the snake into a trash bag instead. No need to open any windows, a la Sam!

No word on what kinda snake it was, but at least it did the respectful thing ... waiting until the flight had basically arrived at its destination before showing its face -- so, no need for an emergency landing like we've seen in some other creepy crawly stowaway situations.

Avantika Vandanapu may wear pink on Wednesdays, but Tuesday is for work ... because she showed up for a shift at Raising Cane's looking totally fetch.

The actress/singer, who plays Karen Shetty in the new "Mean Girls" movie, hopped right into the line of fire at a New York City Cane's location ... taking orders and filling up drinks for hungry customers.

AV revealed she loves the lemonade at Raising too -- though she admitted the hardest part of the gig was getting the lid on a cup of it -- and called out an order of hot fresh chicken for Emilia before heading back to make some of the restaurant's famous Texas Toast.

The starlet seems to be following Regina George's lead too ... gobbling down a couple pieces of the delicacy (a little all-carb diet anyone?!?) dipped in a little Cane's Sauce.

Arnold Schwarzenegger's known for his gun-toting characters ... but it was actually a benign watch that caused him problems at an airport Wednesday -- and the aftermath was a freaking mess.

The actor-turned-politician was held at the Munich Airport on Wednesday after trying to take an "unregistered" luxury watch through customs ... the Terminator didn't try to fight his way out of this one ... instead being spotted calmly hanging with customs agents.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... customs detained AS for three hours for traveling with a watch he owns -- one he might auction tomorrow in Austria.

They say Arnold was never asked to fill out a declaration form, but once he got to customs he was hit with what they describe as an "incompetent shakedown."

But, the former bodybuilding champ didn't make a fuss ... agreeing to prepay potential taxes on the watch -- again, a watch he already owns -- in order to get on with his day.

Authorities tried to have Arnold use a credit card machine for an hour ... but failure after failure forced the customs agents to take Schwarzenegger to a bank so he could withdraw cash from an ATM.

That should've been the end of the story ... except the ATM had too low a limit -- the taxes ended up costing AS $10,613 -- and the bank was closed too! The group headed back to the airport, and another officer brought a new, working credit card machine.

Our sources say the watch will still likely be auctioned off tomorrow for the Schwarzenegger Climate Initiative -- a nonprofit dedicated to supporting clean energy efforts worldwide.

A spokesperson for the Munich Main Customs Office says it's simple, telling a local German outlet they've initiated criminal proceedings because the watch is an import staying in the EU -- it has to be declared.

As for why it took so long, the spokesperson explained the rest of Arnie's luggage had to be checked ... and that takes time.

Steve Wynn's taking another shot at unloading his massive Beverly Hills estate -- and in this economy ... he's had to slash the price by quite a bit compared to 3 years ago.

The casino mogul has put his mega-mansion back on the market after first listing in 2021 for a whopping $125 million. Now, he's willing to accept much less -- listing the pad for a cool $75 mil ... marking a huge $50 million discount.

Mind you, the dip here was gradual ... SW and co. first dropped the price 6 months after first throwing up, asking for $115M, then dropped it further in March 2022 at $100 mil ... and finally, cut it down some more in January 2023, asking for just $85 mil. Now, it's just this.

Pharrell Williams was ridin' high as he transported Parisians to America's West with his cowboy-themed Louis Vuitton show Tuesday.

LV's new men's creative director unveiled his rootin' tootin' A/W 2024 collection at PFW ... and a whole lotta men in cowboy hats and wide-brimmed hats stampeded down the runway.

As you can see from the pics ... Pharrell's fashion frontier included some padded, fringed coats with the LV logo ... talk about bringing some glam to the rugged West!

Silky shirts and staple bootcut denims also made their way to Pharrell's hoedown for fashion ... and he even put some models to work ... wheeling some LV suitcases down the runaway of course!

This is Pharrell's third show for LV ... a position previously held by the late Virgil Abloh -- and he's not let anyone down ... with Hollywood A-list flocking to his shows to catch the newest trends on the horizon.

7:56 AM PT -- King Charles will go into the hospital next week for treatment for an enlarged prostate, Buckingham Palace announced in a statement.

The 75-year-old's public engagements "will be postponed for a short period of recuperation."

Kate Middleton went under the knife to deal with something in her gut -- and now, the Royals are saying she's gonna be bedridden in the hospital for two whole weeks.

The Princess of Wales underwent a scheduled abdominal surgery Tuesday -- which Kensington Palace says was successful. They don't get into details about what the procedure was meant to address -- but they do say she'll remain hospitalized for the time being.

Specifically, they say Kate will be under a doctor's care for at least 10 days ... if not 14. They also say that as she recovers, she won't be able to perform her public duties as a Senior Royal until after Easter -- something they say was recommended as medical advice.

Again, Kensington Palace isn't getting into the specifics of what's going on with her -- and they explicitly ask the public to respect her privacy during this time. They note they'll only provide significant updates on her condition ... and nothing more.

The palace also says Kate apologizes in advance for anyone inconvenienced by her postponed engagements, and looks forward to getting back on her feet in due time.

While her ailment is a mystery, sources with direct knowledge have assured TMZ ... her condition is non-cancerous -- so we can rule that out right off the bat.

Still, it's a startling development, which seems to have come out of nowhere -- and more troubling is the fact that a 14-day hospital stay after a surgery is quite a long time. Mind you, we haven't seen Kate in public since December ... and she looked pretty okay then.

Jason Kelce isn't ready to officially announce he's walking away from his Hall of Fame career just yet -- the Philadelphia Eagles star elected not to confirm whether he will hand in his retirement papers ... this after reports he told his teammates it was a done deal.

The 36-year-old Super Bowl champ addressed his NFL future in the latest episode of his "New Heights" podcast with his brother and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis on Wednesday ... and he explained he was really in his feels after his team was booted from the playoffs at the hands of Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

"I just don't think you're in a position after a game like that to really make that decision," Jason told Taylor Swift's boyfriend.

The All-Pro center said he isn't trying to keep people on the edge of their seats with his vagueness ... but admitted he wasn't in the right mind space to reach a conclusion following the loss.

"There's too much emotion in the moment. There's too much going down in the moment to really fully grasp that decision."

Jason was adamant he isn't trying to be "dramatic" ... adding, "It's just something that I think, when it's time to officially announce what's happening in the future, it'll be done in a way that's definitive and pays respect to a lot of people and individuals that have meant a lot to me and what has led to the career I've had."

Jason was super emotional talking about his conversation with the Eagles' locker room after the game ... saying he told the players to embrace every moment.

The "Friends" cast wasn't at the Emmys Monday night to honor the late Matthew Perry ... and now we know why they bailed.

Emmy producers are now explaining that while Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer all bagged an invite, they opted not to come together onstage ... cause it was just too soon after Matthew's sudden death in October.

Emmy's EP Jesse Collins tells The Hollywood Reporter he totally gets it from their POV -- they're mourning someone they were very close to for years.

He says while they can't speak on their behalf, they must respect that the "Friends" cast was their own little family.

Matthew was the last person to appear on screen during the Emmys' in memoriam segment honoring fallen stars .... with singer Charlie Puth transitioning from "See You Again" to a stripped-back version of the "Friends" theme song, "I'll Be There for You."

TMZ broke the story ... Matthew was found unresponsive in his jacuzzi on Oct. 28 after playing 2 hours of pickleball at Riviera Country Club near his home in Pacific Palisades. First responders rushed to the property on a cardiac arrest call, and he was declared deceased on the scene after an apparent drowning.

The L.A. County Medical Examiner's Office released the toxicology report in December ... he died from "the acute effects of ketamine," a drug used to treat depression and is also used as a recreational drug.

Tina Fey may soon make her grand return to "Saturday Night Light" as head honcho ... well, that's if Lorne Michaels has anything to do with it.

The show's longtime executive producer said Tina could easily take over the reins when he inevitably retires -- though speaking at the Emmys red carpet Sunday, he said nothing's set in stone cause other people were also in the running.

Lorne clearly has a soft spot for Tina ... praising her as brilliant and great at everything she does ... adding she's a very important person in his life.

The 79-year-old co-created the iconic comedy sketch show in 1975 ... and he plans to hold onto his legacy for another year -- staying on until at least the show's 50th anniversary next year.

Tina kicked off her 'SNL' career in 1997 as a writer ... later promoted to head writer in 1999 and then became a cast member in 2000 ... leaving six years later to write and star in "30 Rock."

Meanwhile, Tina fans did get to see her back in her 'SNL' roots alongside Amy Poehler ... the pair reviving the show's iconic "Weekend Update" segment for the Emmys -- a great moment resulting from two competing networks coming together.

Pierce Brosnan's not caving to the federal government ... fighting two charges he hiked into a restricted area at Yellowstone National Park.

The actor entered a not guilty plea for two illegal hiking charges on January 4 after he was cited for allegedly wandering into a "delicate" hot springs at the park in Wyoming.

The judge granted PB's request to cancel his initial court appearance and set up a virtual conference for February 20.

As we previously reported ... authorities cited 007 last month for allegedly going off-trail near Mammoth Hot Springs on November 1 -- violating several closures.

The proof seems to be in the pics here too ... Brosnan appears to have forgotten his lessons in spy secrecy, posting photos that look like they're from the off-limits area. He was up in Wyoming filming his new Western "The Unholy Trinity."

The hot springs are off-limits to tourists for a reason ... they're super fragile and can take years to correct if damaged -- not to mention the people who have died from falling into the boiling/acidic springs

Colin Nathaniel Scott is just one example ... authorities think he dissolved in the pool waters -- only slightly higher on the pH scale than stomach acid -- after venturing off-trail in 2015.
