Cardi B's microphone throw during a live performance has spurred a lot of debate on the internet -- but one is taking shape that's invoking an infamous musical duo ... Milli Vanilli.

A lot of folks noticed that after Cardi stopped the show Saturday to retaliate against a woman who threw a drink on her from the crowd ... the music/song she was rapping to, 'Bodak Yellow,' kept going, and many have assumed that Cardi was just lip syncing.

It was quite noticeable ... but, obviously, more people focused on what was going down between Cardi and the lady -- who appears to have been hit with Cardi's mic (good aim).

Now, in the aftermath, the jokes are flying at Cardi's expense ... 'cause some trolls are (falsely) equating her to Milli's Rob Pilatus and Fab Morvan -- who were notoriously caught lip syncing back in 1990 during a live performance ... when their record skipped mid-show.

Not only were the Milli Vanilli dudes exposed as in a lip sync sense -- but it was later revealed that they weren't the ones singing in the first place. Indeed, very scandalous.

In the wake of CB's dustup ... some are throwing her into the same category, but it's apples to oranges for a whole bunch of reasons -- which many on Twitter are rightly pointing out.

For starters, it's common these days for artists to use backing tracks for their performances. In fact, it's SOP when it comes to modern-day shows ... especially rappers. All the big acts do this, and they simply chime in on top of it live -- often deviating for added entertainment value. In Cardi's case, there's no evidence she wasn't rapping *with* the backing track.

And just for the sake of argument, even if she was lip syncing here ... it's NBD, really.

Joe was feeling sandy Sunday in Rehoboth Beach, where he's got a home. In photos obtained by TMZ, you can see POTUS and FLOTUS making their way out to the shore with a bunch of items in hand ... and a ton of Secret Service agents in tow, too.

JB was in his usual beach attire -- showing up with some trunks, a tee, and a ball cap. Eventually, he took off his top and went skins for the outing ... flaunting his gramps bod!

It looks like he was briefly out in the heat, but the plopped down in a chair to chill in the shade. Like we said, Jill was right next to him ... and they appeared preoccupied reading.

This is a pretty similar vibe to what they were doing a few weeks ago, right on the heels of the cocaine discovery ... which ended up going unsolved. You'll recall, at the time ... Joe was also doing some reading then -- and the missus could be seen throwing on some SPF.

No sign of any other family members here, including Hunter ... who continues to loom over the President's term. There's more that's expected to emerge in the coming days about Hunter -- including some potentially damaging testimony in Congress from an ex-biz partner.

Sharon Stone says "Basic Instinct" turned her into a sex symbol overnight -- and people wanted a piece of her, it seems ... 'cause they were crawling all over her whip!

The actress dished to CNN's Chris Wallace about the impact of that film and how it affected her celebrity at the time. As she says, she went into that weekend as a relative nobody in Hollywood ... and emerged as a massive star come Tuesday, after everyone had seen it.

Of course, what she's referring to specifically is the infamous interrogation scene ... where she flashed her vagina on camera, and which undoubtedly went down in cinematic history.

As Wallace rightly notes, that changed her life forever ... but little did we know to what extent, until now. Watch -- Sharon describes going out to run an errand the week after 'BI' was released, and says people were literally leaping at her in the streets of Los Angeles.

Not just at her person though, as SS explains ... she claims folks were dogpiling her actual car at stoplights. It got so bad, apparently, that she didn't know if she should drive away!

Now, this is far from the first time Sharon's talked "Basic Instinct" -- which she's publicly said she had mixed feelings about. At the time, she says she felt duped into the vagina moment ... allegedly having been reassured by the crew/producers that they couldn't see anything.

Teresa Giudice loves to slam Sofia Vergara over a years-old incident that left her sour -- once again recounting the selfie snub story ... and again mocking Sofia's background.

The 'RHONJ' star was telling the old tale to her cohost, Melissa Pfeister, on their podcast 'Namaste B$tches' -- presumably because SV is back in the news with this divorce between her and Joe Manganiello. As such, Teresa thought it'd be good to bring this thing back up.

As she explained back in 2017 -- when this went down -- Teresa says she was at some event, where Sofia was also present. At the suggestion of their publicists ... Teresa and Sofia were supposed to take a picture together -- but TG claims Sofia threw a big fit about it.

In fact, she alleges Sofia was pretty rude in expressing her disapproval over the selfie ... apparently asking her own publicist why she'd been asked to do this with Teresa.

Obviously, that pissed Teresa off ... and she's again saying Sofia should've been nicer -- because, in Teresa's mind, she comes from humble beginnings. Here in this latest podcast clip, she's not as explicit (or xenophobic) as she was in 2017 when she told this same story.

At the time, she said Sofia had an obligation to be kind because she was an immigrant ... and here, she again suggests the same thing ... making fun of her Colombian accent to boot.

Teresa seems to think that because Sofia came from a foreign country in Latin America ... there's an extra layer of humility she needs to express in her dealings with American stars.

Harry Styles is sailing off into the sunset after wrapping his nearly 2-year-long tour -- but it seems he can't quite shake everything that came with it ... like, perhaps, Olivia Wilde.

The singer is still out in Italy, enjoying a little R&R after completing his final show in Reggio Emilia. On Friday, he went on a little boat trip on a lake in Bolsena -- where he and some pals (James Corden included) were soaking up the sun. And, yes ... HS went shirtless.

Besides the fact that he's got a ripped bod, he's also got a ton of tattoos all over his torso. More importantly, though, he has leg tats as well -- one in particular here stands out.

Peep ... it's ink on his thigh, of all places, and it clearly reads "Olivia." There's another word right underneath that, but it's harder to make out what that one is, or what the connection is. Of course, for the Olivia tat ... folks are obviously assuming it's related to his recent ex.

There's another possible explanation ... in 2015, One Direction put out a song called 'Olivia,' so this could be related to that. Considering we haven't seen this tat on him before, though -- many are speculating it's fairly recent. If it is ... well, that's certainly interesting.

As you know ... Harry and Olivia dated for the better part of a year or so, and they seemed head over heels for quite a long time. Of course, their relationship wasn't without drama.

Seeing how Harry dating Olivia caused a lot of strife (at least among his fans) ... ya gotta wonder if he'll have this removed at some point -- again, assuming it is in fact related to her.

Volodymyr Zelensky has said Ukraine is taking the fight in the ongoing war to Russia's doorstep -- and now, it appears like that's manifesting ... in the nation's capital, no less.

A viral video shows an explosion that went down in Moscow Sunday -- right in the heart of the financial district, it seems -- and it's pretty wild to see. You hear a woman who's filming, and she's got her camera aimed at a bunch of skyscrapers off in the not-too-far distance.

Suddenly, you see a massive ball of fire erupt near one of those buildings ... and it absolutely shocks the bystanders, who start to scream in a panic ... and even cry.

The Russian Defense Ministry is saying this was actually a Ukrainian drone ... and it was apparently just one of three that they say they took down before they could make impact. In this instance, RDM says the drone blew up near skyscrapers that housed government offices.

The Russian government also says there were no injuries or casualties here ... only minor damage to the façade of the two buildings. Still, people on the ground are reeling from this. BTW, this is the second reported attack on Russian soil in a week ... so they're escalating.

During a Sunday address, Zelensky is quoted as having said ... "Russian aggression has gone bankrupt on the battlefield. Today is the 522nd day of the so-called 'special military operation,' which the Russian leadership expected to last for a week or two. Ukraine is getting stronger. Gradually, the war is returning to the territory of Russia — to its symbolic centers and military bases, and this is an inevitable, natural, and absolutely fair process."

Zachery Ty Bryan is experiencing déjà vu in the worst way possible -- 'cause the guy found himself in an Oregon jail, yet again, for alleged domestic violence.

Eugene PD tells TMZ that the 'Home Improvement' star was arrested Friday for felony assault, in violation of the Abuse Prevention Act. That's when someone is accused of attacking somebody else who'd previously been granted a restraining order in relation to DV.

Unfortunately, this appears to be a bit of a repeat of what happened 3 years ago in the same town -- at least that's what it sounds like based on what cops say. We're told police got a call for a reported physical dispute between a male and female at a Eugene residence.

When they arrived, we're told Zach was long gone ... but they eventually tracked him down and took him to jail, where he was booked ... and where he currently remains in custody.

The details of the latest alleged incident remain unclear for now ... but remember, back in 2020 -- Zach was also arrested for 4th-degree assault ... in addition to strangulation and interfering with making a report. At the time, he was accused of roughing up his then-girlfriend.

In the end, he ended up pleading guilty to two lesser charges ... misdemeanor menacing, and misdemeanor assault. He's also publicly said the incident was blown out of proportion.

Disney has another dud on their hands -- this time, it's "The Haunted Mansion" ... which paled in comparison to last week's big hits, including "Barbie" -- who reigns supreme again.

The Mouse House's latest offering -- featuring a star-studded cast, including the likes of Lakeith Stanfield, Rosario Dawson, Owen Wilson, Tiffany Haddish and others -- got off to a bad start this weekend ... having only generated $24.6 million in North America markets.

Overseas, it did even worse -- raking in only $9.1 mil, meaning worldwide ... it's got about $33 million to its name so far. The problem, the film's budget was $150 mil -- plus tens of millions that Disney reported spent to market the movie. So, yeah ... way down in the red.

"Haunted Mansion's" poor performance at the box office is emblematic of how its premiere felt ... very empty/soulless. Granted that was SAG strike related, but still -- they run parallel.

It ain't the only Disney flick of late to disappoint. The new 'Indiana Jones' didn't do so hot either -- although, their other films have done somewhat decently big picture this year. It's a mixed bag ... but it's certainly nowhere near where Bog Iger would like to see the numbers.

Elsewhere in movie land ... "Barbie" cleaned up for the 2nd week in a row. Margot Robbie and co. still had momentum from just 7 days ago, with a massive $93 million haul domestically. Mind you, that's in addition to the $162 mil from the opening weekend. And don't get us started on the international numbers ... at this point. "Barbie" has made over $750M.

"Oppenheimer," too, is riding a second wave of success. It clawed an extra $46.6 million from ticket holders this weekend ... bringing its final domestic tally to $174 million. Not half bad!

Lake Lanier has claimed yet another life in Georgia -- only this time, the mode of death is one no one seems to be able to explain ... because a guy was shocked to his demise.

24-year-old Thomas Milner was killed Thursday after he reportedly jumped into the water from his nearby family dock -- only to start screaming moments later and calling for help ... apparently, he was being electrocuted from within the lake itself.

Reports say, citing Georgia officials, that family friends tried pulling Milner out ... but were unsuccessful. It seems a neighbor had to actually drive over to his location with their own boat -- only for someone in the boat to finally jump in and attempt to bring him ashore.

That person, who hasn't been identified, reportedly told authorities they started to feel a burning sensation as soon as they got into the water ... which they assumed was electricity.

According to one local outlet, the diver actually got out of the water briefly ... turned off a power box that was adjacent to the dock ... and then went back in to get Milner, at which point they were able to pull him out. Unfortunately, it was too late for everyone involved.

They tried life-saving measures, but Milner later died at a hospital.

There's no official word why the water had electric currents in it -- but, believe it or not, this is something Lake Lanier officials have actually warned the public about over the years ... citing the risk of "electric shock drowning." Some say faulty outlets could cause this.

Cardi B totally blew her top while performing onstage in Las Vegas Saturday ... this after someone in the audience splashed her with a liquid.

It all started with the New York rapper looking glamorous in a sheer orange dress as she gripped a microphone and stood near the edge of the stage at Drai's Beachclub.

Suddenly, a person in the crowd tossed some type of fluid from a cup at Cardi, getting her all wet from head to toe. Check out this video, which shows Cardi in utter shock and fury as she throws the mic at the perpetrator ... unclear, though, if it connected.

Cardi then shouted a few choice words at the jerk before her security jumped from the stage into the audience and led away the individual responsible.

We don't know what happened after that ... but we're checking with Vegas PD to see if cops responded and made an arrest or issued a citation.

Jason Aldean says the folks at his Boston concert are kindred spirits ... they understand the lyrics of "Try That in a Small Town," because they've experienced the violence to which he is referring.

Aldean performed Saturday night at the Mansfield Xfinity Center and told concertgoers how their experience with the Boston Marathon bombings aligned with his song. He says Boston stood up to defend their City with the mantra, "Boston Strong."

Jason made his case again ... that the song is not about race but, as he put it, common sense. He said the song is about violence ... burning down buildings, etc.

The Terence Crawford/Errol Spence fight Saturday night was incredible, but the bonus at the top had fans going insane ... Crawford's hype man for the walkout was Eminem!!!

Crawford and Em appeared in a cloud of smoke as the rapper besieged the crowd to make some noise for the next welterweight champion of the world. Turns out he was right.

The two walked next to each other as "Lose Yourself" blared through the arena, and fans ate it up.

Eminem gave his stamp of approval after the fight, tweeting, “This is 2 crazy.!!! You r 1 of my favorite boxers rn!”

Crawford willed it to happen, posting a vid expressing his wish the dude from Detroit would accompany him into the ring.

Nicki Minaj’s is the latest in a long line of Los Angeles swatting incidents involving celebs.

Cops spoke to Nicki after arriving, and she was not pleased to see the Sheriff's deputies at her home again.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... L.A. County Sheriff Deputies rolled with lights and sirens to Nicki’s house in the San Fernando Valley Saturday afternoon after a person called 911 claiming someone was shot at the house.

This is not the first time cops have gone to Nicki’s home after a swatting call. TMZ broke the story last month that cops descended on her home after a false 911 child abuse claim.

There have been a number of celebs targeted with swatting calls, including Miley Cyrus, Ashton Kutcher, Justin Bieber, Tom Cruise, Kris Jenner, Paris Hilton, Rihanna, and Justin Timberlake.

Business is booming ... so says Dr. Ben Talei of the Beverly Hills Center for Plastic Surgery. He told Harvey and Charles on "TMZ Live" he's working 7 days a week, because actors are using the downtime to go under the knife and recover without being noticed or missing work.

Dr. Talei says it's the A and B-listers who are swarming his office ... mostly because they can afford it. He's been doing work on some of his favorite sports stars and actors, and there's an interesting story about a famous Scientologist who went under his knife.

And here's the most fascinating part ... he says some actors made contingency plans -- if it seemed the strike wouldn't last long, they'd get minor, filler work, but if it was prolonged, they get the full monty.

Amanda Bynes is ditching outpatient care and going back to inpatient ... and this time she's trying a new mental health treatment center as she continues to work on her illness.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Amanda checked herself into an intensive inpatient mental health treatment center in Orange County at the beginning of July, nearly a week after checking out of a Los Angeles area mental health facility for outpatient treatment

We're told Amanda wanted more of a therapeutic place to live rather than living by herself at her L.A. apartment ... and felt she needed more help than the outpatient treatment was providing.

Our sources say Amanda was introduced to this center in Orange County through her last treatment center, and she likes how she's able to be around a medical team, therapists and other patients, because it provides social interaction and company ... as opposed to being on her own.

Plus, we're told Amanda's receiving a higher level of care at the inpatient center than she was in an outpatient setting ... she's in residential treatment getting 24/7 care, while also taking part in daily therapy sessions and activities to help her develop skills to use when she leaves the center.

Our sources insist it was Amanda's decision to check into this new facility ... which is a running theme with her.

TMZ broke the story ... Amanda called cops June 17 to report she was in distress and felt she could harm herself. Police responded with a mental health specialist who determined Amanda needed to be placed on a psych hold ... and she spent time in a psychiatric facility before briefly moving to outpatient care.

Our sources say there's no time frame on how long Amanda will be in this new facility ... it's dependent on when she feels ready to leave and be on her own again.

Bam Margera's taking more shots at Steve-O ... ripping his former friend for having some of the worst skateboarding style he's ever seen.

The former "Jackass" star tore into Steve-O's skateboarding mixtape with a video response, mainly taking issue with the way Steve-O completes his kickflips.

Bam says it's proof Steve-O's not as good a skater as him ... and he's also dissing his old buddy for not doing a rail slide in the video with Tony Hawk.

The back-and-forth began with Bam dissing his "Jackass" features on a song with rappers Cult Shotta and Tanboymiguel ... which drew a video response from Steve-O.

Bam linked back up with rappers this week in Los Angeles and watched Steve-O's skate tape together ... and Bam's anything but impressed.

While Bam's a pro skater and recently hit up this year's X-Games, it sounds like there is a strong bias behind his critique.
