Rams wide receiver Van Jefferson's wife wasn't quite able to catch her hubby's thrilling Super Bowl win on Sunday ... 'cause she had to leave the game early on a stretcher to have the couple's baby!

Samaria Jefferson was rushed out of SoFi Stadium just minutes before L.A. beat the Cincinnati Bengals, 23-20, to win Super Bowl LVI ... according to multiple reporters on the scene.

Thankfully, though, Samaria was able to make it to a medical facility without any issue -- and after Van and the Rams pulled off their comeback, he joined her to welcome their new baby.

Van posted a pic with the newborn just minutes after winning his ring, smiling with glee and writing, "X2!!!!!"

Samaria had spoken about the possibility of the situation just days before the Big Game, telling The Athletic that she was "praying" her water didn't break during the middle of the contest.

In fact, in the hours leading up to the game, she posted on her Instagram page that she was "still praying."

Cameras actually caught Van sprinting out of the stadium following the win ... showing him leaving in a hurry.

The baby is the couple's second child -- they had their first daughter together five years ago.

Ivan Reitman, the legendary filmmaker behind "Ghostbusters" and "Animal House," has died.

Reitman's family was by his side in Montecito, CA Saturday night, as he passed peacefully in his sleep.

He produced a string of hits, and not just hits but legendary flicks.  Among his other films ... "Meatballs" and "Stripes."

And, in an homage to his dad, Ivan's son, Jason Reitman, directed "Ghostbusters: Afterlife." Ah, but wait, there's more ... "Twins," "Kindergarten Cop," "Dave," "Junior," and "Six Days, Seven Nights."

Oh, did we mention he also produced "Beethoven," "Old School," and "EuroTrip?"

Kumail Nanjiani was to the point, saying, "The number of great movies he made is absurd."

Ivan was born in 1946 in Czechoslovakia. His mom was a survivor of Auschwitz. His family escaped by taking a barge to Vienna. He recounted the experience ... “I remember flashes of scenes. Later they told me about how they gave me a couple of sleeping pills so I wouldn’t make any noise. I was so knocked out that I slept with my eyes open. My parents were afraid I was dead.”

His family said of Ivan's passing ... “Our family is grieving the unexpected loss of a husband, father, and grandfather who taught us to always seek the magic in life,” children Jason Reitman, Catherine Reitman and Caroline Reitman said in a joint statement. “We take comfort that his work as a filmmaker brought laughter and happiness to countless others around the world. While we mourn privately, we hope those who knew him through his films will remember him always.”

Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre did NOT disappoint at the Super Bowl Halftime Show -- and they didn't come empty-handed either ... trotting out none other than 50 Cent.

The two headliners kicked off the star-studded performance Sunday at SoFi Stadium, going through a few of their hits, including 'The Next Episode' and 'California Love,' -- but in the middle of them doing their thing on stage ... Mr. Jackson swung into action down below!

Fitty turned out to be the big surprise guest that had been rumored for weeks now ... and he performed 'In Da Club' on a set piece underneath Snoop and Dre -- this while hanging upside down.

It made for a ton of fanfare ... and folks cheered the trio on. Soon after, Mary J. Blige came on and went through a quick medley as well, before passing the baton on to Kendrick ... who eventually handed things off to Eminem, pumping up the energy with each performance.

Snoop and Dre eventually took center stage once again ... and ended things on a high note with 'Still D.R.E.' -- and were flanked by all the artists by the finale of the song.

Seems like this one was a major homage to the legacy of Dre, and turned out to be pretty damn rad as a result ... living up to the hype and then some.

"Jeopardy!" champ Amy Schneider is now flush with cash, so she essentially went all country -- as in "take this job and shove it!!!"

Amy's way too polite to say "shove it," but she is indeed quitting her job as a software engineer. She tells us the whole "Jeopardy!" experience has been life-changing, and that includes employment.

She assumed the interactions and business discussions she was having during her run would fade away once she was dethroned. As she put it ... "That turned out to be completely incorrect."

She says the emails and meetings have made it clear ... there's more out there! She's also enjoying the life of a newly-minted celeb.

Amy went on to share what career avenues she's mulling over .... writing a book and podcasting are at the top of her list. She also says she's looking for anything educational because that clearly has served her well.

Amy was on a hot winning streak -- racking up $1.3 million over 40 episodes! It all came to an end when she went up against Rhone Talsma and lost during Final Jeopardy.

The Los Angeles Rams are Super Bowl champions ... beating Joe Burrow's Cincinatti Bengals on a late fourth quarter drive, in one of the best SB's in recent history.

The Bengals were leading 20-16 with just minutes to go ... before Matt Stafford led his squad on a 15 play drive that culminated in a Cooper Kupp touchdown.

28-year-old Kupp -- who caught 8 balls for 92 yards and 2 touchdowns -- was named the SB MVP.

It was an incredible game ... close from start to finish.

34-year-old Stafford -- a 13 year NFL vet -- threw for 283 yards and 3 TD's and 2 INT's.

As for 25-year-old Burrow ... he threw for 263 yards and 1 TD.

Aaron Donald was electric. He had 4 combined tackles and 1 sack ... but was a nuisance the entire game.

The Bengals had the ball late, and were driving, with a chance to tie with a field goal or take the lead with a touchdown. The game came down to a 4th and 1. Cue AD ... who pressured JB, forcing the incompletion.

Game over. Super Bowl over. Rams win.

Oh, and the halftime show was awesome. Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent and Eminem killed it!

The Jaguars' hiring of Doug Pederson just got two thumbs up from legendary Jacksonville running back Fred Taylor, who tells TMZ Sports he loves the move.

The former Jag -- who played 11 seasons in Duval -- said he believes the marriage of Pederson and star quarterback Trevor Lawrence could yield huge results.

"Sky is the limit," Taylor said out in L.A. this week. "We’re hoping that. Everybody in Duval hoping it.”

No matter what, things can't get too much worse for the Jaguars -- because, as Fred noted, last season under Urban Meyer was a disaster.

In fact, Taylor actually called it all a "comedy," saying, "It was a big circus, man. Things was all over the place."

But, Taylor is hopeful Pederson can turn things around ... particularly because of the success he had with the Philadelphia Eagles.

You'll recall, Pederson and Philly actually beat Tom Brady and the Patriots at Super Bowl LII in 2018.

Fred, however, did express a desire to see teams hire more Black coaches because "they're more than capable" ... but he said he understands that owners are allowed to make the decisions they deem best for their team.

"The number is the numbers," Taylor said. "I mean, you can’t run from that, and the numbers pretty much show there’s discrimination."

Akon's ex, Tricia Ana, is nursing a serious injury after brawling at a Hollywood Hills bash, and when the dust settled she was bloodied and missing her bling ... TMZ has learned.

An eyewitness tells TMZ ... the 'Love & Hip Hop' star was partying with a bunch of folks last weekend and, as you can see in the video, not all of 'em were friends. We're told that Tricia, wearing white, got into a heated argument with the woman in a denim jacket ... but it quickly turned into hand-to-hand combat.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... things escalated inside the house before the fight spilled outside with both women exchanging blow after blow.

At one point in the video, you can see Tricia's necklace on the ground ... and moments later it's gone. It appears a guy in white and green pants grabbed it during all the chaos.

We're told the icy jewelry is worth more than $15k!!!

Our sources say a third person got involved when the fight continued outside, and that's when Tricia was sliced across the face. She was taken to a hospital where she got about 20 stitches ... and law enforcement was alerted.

We're told cops are investigating the brawl, but no arrests have been made yet.

Super Bowl LVI is already off to a bumpy start -- because the folks running the broadcast apparently couldn't tell one of their marquee singers from another ... oof.

Shortly before kickoff Sunday, NBC was introducing R&B singer Jhene Aiko -- who was going to belt out 'America the Beautiful' ... shortly before country singer Mickey Guyton was set to take the mantle for the National Anthem.

All seemed to be going just fine ... that is, until they panned to the wrong person entirely while flashing a Jhene name graphic on the screen. Instead of her, they focused on Mickey -- who was looking on from an elevated platform.

Huge blunder, obviously ... but the camera eventually found the right person in Jhene, who gave us a solid, and somewhat subtle, rendition of the tune.

Mickey was up next, and her performance of 'The Star-Spangled Banner' was absolutely spectacular ... getting huge cheers and applause.

Still, everyone noticed the screw-up that started everything -- and some couldn't help but wonder how and why they could've gotten it that wrong. Here's hoping the rest of the program isn't as messy.

Adrian Peterson is gonna be in a jail cell this weekend, 'cause he was arrested on his way out of Los Angeles ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell us the ex-Vikings running back was arrested and booked for felony domestic violence Sunday at LAX -- this after airport police got a call at about 8:30 AM over a disturbance on an aircraft leaving LAX and attempting to take off en route to Houston.

We're told the plane actually had to turn around and link up with the gate again after an apparent verbal and physical altercation between a man and woman.

After a preliminary investigation -- and after making required notifications to the FBI -- our sources say Peterson was taken into custody ... as the alleged victim was seen to have sustained a small mark from whatever happened. Indeed ... we're told the woman is Peterson's wife, Ashley Brown.

After her husband was hauled off the plane, we're told the flight was able to depart as planned ... which included Ashley, who stayed on board with the rest of the passengers.

The two of them were in town the night prior, attending a Super Bowl event put on by DIRECTV.

We've reached out to Peterson's camp ... so far, no word back.

Kanye West may consider himself at war with Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian -- but the couple clearly isn't sweating his barbs ... 'cause they're feeling the love in the Big Apple.

PD and Kim were seen grabbing a bite Saturday night in Brooklyn, arriving at a high-end Italian joint called Lilia ... walking up hand-in-hand for what was apparently an early date night head of Valentine's Day on Monday.

As you can see ... they were totally grinning as paps fired away and followed them up to their private tent, where they eventually went in and broke bread just the two of them.

Eventually, they left and beelined it for their waiting SUV, where Pete helped Kim into the back ... and then walked around the other side to join her. They were both rocking shades for this outing -- and they each looked sharp and totally in lockstep coming to and from.

Of course, them standing shoulder to shoulder like this was happening right in the thick of Kim's estranged husband going off the rails in post after post after post ... taking shots at Kid Cudi, and Pete by extension.

The posting has yet to cease, even a full day later ... if anything, they've only gotten worse and much more personal, with no signs of slowing down.

Ye's latest attack is yet another open plea for reconciliation with Kim -- in which he points out that he's trending above the Super Bowl right now ... and, indeed, he's right up there.

KW says he hopes everybody who's married holds their spouse close and lets them know how much they love them, because it can all be over in a flash. He then takes a shot at Pete, whom he calls "Skete," by saying there's always someone like him lurking about.

Kanye West is on a tear again against Kim Kardashian's boyfriend, and this one seems downright hostile.

Kanye just posted a partial pic of a guy who's pretty clearly Pete Davidson, with the caption, "LOOK AT THIS D**KHEAD I WONDER IF INSTAGRAM GONNA SHUT DOWN MY PAGE FOR DISSING HILARY CLINTON’S EX BOYFRIEND."

As for the Hillary reference ... Pete has a prominent tattoo of Hillary on his arm.

Kanye has gone back and forth over his feelings toward Kim, the marriage and Pete. Just hours before his most recent posts, he deleted most of his feed again, saving just one -- pleading with God, "PLEASE BRING OUR FAMILY BACK TOGETHER"

As you know, Ye has also suggested in one of his songs that he wanted to kick Pete's ass ... and then again on a new single "City of Gods," with Fivio Foreign and Alicia Keys.

This makes the Kevin Hart clip we got all the more interesting ... Kev thinks there's no beef to squash between Kanye and Pete. Really?

Lizzo hit up the h.wood Group and REVOLVE's party where Drake performed at the Pacific Design Center, and she said right out of the gate she wants a call from Cardi B -- who's now the creative director of Playboy -- saying she wants a spread in the mag.

Our photog clearly saw Lizzo's TikTok vid Saturday ... revealing she had a piercing party for her team ... a thank you for working extra hard.

The question seemed innocent enough ... so where are those piercings? Lizzo was more than happy to tell us.

She did say she has piercings all over her body, but one clearly holds a special place in her heart!

Russell Wilson and Ciara beat a hasty retreat from a Super Bowl party after the father of one of her children showed up -- aka Future.

Russell and Ciara hit up Drake's show at h.wood Group and REVOLVE's Super Bowl party at the Pacific Design Center in WeHo Saturday night ... a party packed with celebs, including Lizzo, Teyana Taylor, Cardi B, Offset, and Jack Harlow.

Little did they know ... Drake had a surprise guest ... Future.

As you know, Ciara and Future had a difficult breakup, which became even more complicated once she hooked up with Russell who became super close to baby Future Zahir. Shade was thrown in all directions.

It's unclear where Future now stands with Ciara and Russell, but given their reaction after Future showed up, it doesn't seem like all is kumbaya.

Megan Thee Stallion was in top form Saturday night as she performed along with Doja Cat and Lil Baby at Michael Rubin's Fanatics Super Bowl LVI party in Culver City.

Megan rocked a leather mini and looked super glam as she entertained the crowd.

The guest list was impressive, to say the least ... Most other parties are open if you can buy a ticket. This one's strictly invite-only, but scalpers have found a way to make a buck ... lots of bucks.
