Wendell Pierce could barely speak he was so heartsick over losing his home in the Baton Rouge torrent.

We got the actor at LAX Monday where he told us his home was one of thousands that were completely destroyed last week. Wendell's childhood home was also destroyed in Hurricane Katrina.
