D.A. to Trevone Boykin You Don't Have a Plea Deal ... Yet.
Trevone Boykin's agent is sorely mistaken if he thinks his client has already cut a plea deal for his Alamo Bowl bar fight.
We broke the story ... the ex-TCU player was formally charged with misdemeanor assault for attacking a police officer in San Antonio Dec. 31st.
Boykin's agent, Drew Pittman, said the information -- which came straight from court documents filed on June 27th -- was incorrect ... saying, "Trevone has already agreed to terms with the authorities on a lesser charge."
But we spoke with a rep for the Bexar County Criminal District Attorney’s Office who tells us there is NO DEAL set in stone with Boykin ... at least not yet.
"We are still discussing the terms of a possible plea agreement with Mr. Boykin and his attorney," the rep said.
"Our Office does not release the details of any possible plea until it has been finalized and entered with the Court."
We also spoke with Pittman -- who ADMITTED he didn't read the full TMZ Sports article before issuing a statement in which he called the report incorrect.
