Robert Downey Jr.'s Son Indio: Judge Dismisses Cocaine Case as Father Watches
Robert Downey Jr.'s Son Judge Dismisses Cocaine Case
Robert Downey Jr.'s son has followed in his footsteps, getting his drug record wiped clean.
Indio Downey showed up at an L.A. courthouse Tuesday morning, where a judge dismissed his cocaine case, after he submitted proof he had successfully completed a drug diversion program.
The dismissal comes 2 months after California Governor Jerry Brown gave Robert Downey Jr. a full pardon for his drug convictions.
Indio spoke to Judge Lauren Weis Birnstein in open court, saying, "I would like to say I am truly grateful for the experience I had over the last 20 months in recovery." He went on, "I'm so blessed to have my life back. I hope to be an inspiration to work with others in the future."
Indio was arrested in June 2014 in West Hollywood when cops drove alongside the vehicle in which he was riding and noticed he was smoking something out of a pipe. Cops found coke on the actor's son.
The dismissal erases the entire criminal case ... it's as if Indio was never even arrested.
