News Reporter Dodges Frightening Car Crash ... During Live Shot!!!

A news reporter in San Francisco is lucky to be alive ... after narrowly getting out of the way of a brutal car crash -- while in the middle of a LIVE TV shot!!!!

The reporter is KTVU's Alex Savidge -- who was doing a routine live shot with his back to the street when two cars collided -- a Toyota came careening right at him VERY FAST.

Somehow, Savidge was able to leap out of the way right in the nick of time ... as the car went slamming into a wall so hard that the hub cap came off the wheel.

Afterward, Savidge tweeted ... "My heart's racing like crazy! Almost got hit by a car live on air, but I'm OK-Thanks everyone for your concern."
