Peyton Manning got super emotional as he announced his retirement from the NFL -- and choked up while listing all the things he'll miss about playing pro football.

He name checked some of his favorite players, coaches, fans and family members ... and even gave a shout-out to his favorite steak joint in Indy.

He added, "I'll even miss the Patriots fans in Foxborough."
