It takes some serious cojones to get in the octagon and spar with Anderson Silva -- but one 10-year-old kid took the challenge Thursday ... and CRUSHED IT ... and we've got the footage.

Silva was promoting his upcoming fight with Michael Bisping when he invited the 10-year-old jiu jitsu student to come into the octagon and show off his skills.

Everyone was impressed ... including Silva.
