The Weeknd, Bella Hadid -- Screw this Restaurant ... That Table, Seriously?

The Weeknd and Bella Hadid are not to be trifled with, because they went to one of L.A.'s most exclusive restaurants Friday night but bailed minutes later ... we're told it was all over a table.

The couple went to Craig's in West Hollywood ... where there's absolutely a pecking order ... where you sit is as important as what you eat.

Five minutes after arriving, they left. Several members of the staff told our photog they did not like where they were seated ... did not like it at all.

It may sound petty, but it's all part of the Hollywood game. Fact is, image matters.

On the bright side, Weeknd is stoked about his Oscar nom for "Earned It," featured in "Fifty Shades of Grey."
