Ray Rice: Gunning For 2016 NFL Comeback ... 'I'm Still Hopeful'
Ray Rice Gunning For 2016 NFL Comeback 'I'm Still Hopeful'
Ray Rice says he's still training his ass off in the hopes of signing with a team before the 2016 season -- and sources tell us the guy is getting interest from multiple organizations.
Rice touched down at LAX Sunday when he told us he's still training like a maniac ... staying ready in the hopes he gets a chance to prove he belongs in the NFL.
"Honestly, I’m never going to give up. You don’t want to give up something you started. You want to finish the right way."
We spoke with several NFL sources -- who don't have any connection to Ray -- and we're told he's getting "real interest" from teams interested in the running back.
Of course, interest doesn't mean jack until a contract is signed -- but Ray says he's staying ready in case a team decides to actually pull the trigger.
In the meantime, Rice says he's in L.A. to mentor college players for the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl -- but says he's making sure to work in some gym sessions in his spare time.
