El Chapo got a makeover before his latest pose for the federales ... as his new mug shot reveals.

The ex-fugitive's head is shaved down -- nearly bald -- in the mugs, just released by cops in Mexico following his capture on Friday. El Chapo's trademark mustache has also been removed.

Shave and a haircut ... two pesos.
