Derek Jeter: Undies Lawsuit Is B.S. ... 50 Isn't Too Black
Derek Jeter Lawsuit Is B.S. ... 50 Isn't Too Black for Undies Co.
Derek Jeter is shooting down the allegation he backed out of an underwear deal because he thought 50 Cent would make the company "too urban."
Jeter calls the claims made in a lawsuit from Frigo's majority owner "categorically false." TMZ Sports broke the story ... Mathias Ingvarsson accused the ex-Yankees superstar of quitting his promotional deal when 50 signed on as a brand ambassador.
Well, Jeter told Page Six ... the accusation is absurd because, "I facilitated the introductory meeting between 50 Cent and the company, so it makes absolutely no sense that I would object to 50 Cent."
Further, Jeter says Ingvarsson had threatened to launch a negative PR campaign against him. Jeter also says he's getting ready to sue Ingvarsson, and says he has documentation to prove he NEVER agreed to be a public spokesman for the brand.
