Tom Brady -- I'm NEVER Getting Into Politics ... You Just Can't Win
Tom Brady I'm NEVER Getting Into Politics ... You Just Can't Win
Tom Brady says there's a ZERO PERCENT chance he'll ever run for office after his Hall of Fame football career -- because he's a born competitor ... and believes politics is a game you just can't win.
There have been rumblings about Brady wanting to explore a political career for years -- especially after he blew off the Patriots trip to the White House ... and then put a Donald Trump campaign hat in his locker.
But Brady tells GQ ... even the most successful politicians are never really accepted as TOTAL WINNERS ... and that bothers him, since he's a guy who lives and dies by a scoreboard.
"There is 0.000% chance of me ever wanting to do that," Brady says ... "I just think that no matter what you’d say or what you’d do, you’d be in a position where you know, you’re politicking. You know?"
"Like, I think the great part about what I do is that there’s a scoreboard. At the end of every week, you know how you did. You know how well you prepared. You know whether you executed your game plan. There’s a tangible score."
"I think in politics, half the people are gonna like you and half the people are not gonna like you, no matter what you do or what you say… It’s like there are no right answers."
"If there were, everyone would choose the right answers. They’re all opinions."
Translation -- even if people hate Brady as a football player, his rings prove his methods work. He doesn't feel like he can ever get that concrete validation as a politician.
