Mad Decent Cruise Passengers: We're Getting Screwed On Refunds
Mad Decent Cruise Passengers We're Getting Screwed On Refunds
Passengers on the Mad Decent Boat Party had their trip altered when a woman jumped overboard last week -- and now many of them say the cruise company's ripping them off.
Most of the EDM lovers paid on average $1,000 for a ticket, but Norwegian Cruise Line and festival organizers promised refunds. Due to the tragedy, several DJ sets were nixed ... as well as the offshore excursion planned for Mexico. Only problem is ... that refund was a measly $57.47 according to several pissed off passengers.
Festival and cruise reps tells us it's simple math: $57.47 is the cost of the cancelled excursion plus port taxes. Everything else is nonrefundable. Some angry guests have taken to social media to demand way more dough ... despite the fact they still got a 4 day vacation at sea.
As for the lost woman ... not everyone's sympathetic. One passenger said, "I'm sorry about this one girl but there are thousands of us who didn't need to be punished ... we didn't get Mexico or most of what we were promised."
