D'Angelo Russell isn't letting a multi-million dollar NBA contract stop him from keeping it real ... 'cause he says he's down to reach out to the streets ... by making the cheapest pair of sneakers possible.

Russell was out in L.A. when we asked if he'd be willing to pull a Stephon Marbury with his new basketball shoe ... that is, make them affordable for the kids who might not have $200 to throw down on kicks.
