Warren Sapp Still In Miami Hall Of Fame ... "He's Part Of Our Family"
The University of Miami sports hall of fame is sticking by Warren Sapp ... keeping him in after Sapp pled guilty to domestic violence in Las Vegas Thursday ... TMZ Sports has learned.
We spoke with John Routh, executive director of the of the U of M HOF and he tells us that despite Sapp's legal issues, his status as a member remains unchanged.
"At this point, there is no plan to remove him."
As we previously reported ... Sapp pled guilty to 3 counts of domestic violence stemming from an incident where he bit and stomped his girlfriend Chalyce Moore.
Despite the gory details of the incident ... Routh tells us the brass over at the hall are actually rooting for him ... hoping he can get his life together.
"Warren is a member of our family, and when you have a family member going through something you just hope and pray that things will get better."
Players have been removed from College halls for misconduct before ... with William & Mary college electing to cut ties with Darren Sharper after he plead guilty to rape last year.
