NHL's Slava Voynov Held By Immigration Officials ... Deportation On the Table
L.A. Kings star Slava Voynov could be shipped back to Russia -- after immigration officials took him into custody ... following his release from jail stemming from a domestic violence conviction.
As we previously reported, Voynov pled no contest to misdemeanor corporal injury to a spouse -- stemming from an altercation with his wife at their Redondo Beach home back in October.
But after doing his time behind bars, U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement (I.C.E.) swooped in and took him into custody. He's now being held at an undisclosed location.
Voynov is being held without bail -- waiting for his case to be called in front of an immigration judge, who could send the NHL star packin' -- which could in turn create huge problems with the L.A. Kings.
