Karlie Kloss -- NYU Computer Org Wants Brains ... Not Boobs

Ex-Victoria's Secret Angel Karlie Kloss will have to hit the books as hard as she hit the gym if she wants to be part of NYU's biggest computer club ... because they only want serious students.

Karlie is matriculating in New York ... showing intense interest in computer science.

You'd think computer geeks on campus would be vying for her attention -- but members of the Association for Computing Machinery at NYU couldn't care less about her hotness.

ACM vice chair Nicholaus Jackson tells TMZ ... the organization is open to all students, but "we're focused on academics, so we really only want people with a serious interest in computer science."

Nicholaus was adamant Karlie wouldn't get any special treatment ... but admitted having a supermodel around would help get more women excited about computing.

*sigh* ... NERDS.
