Caitlyn Jenner will not answer questions in the civil lawsuit over her fatal PCH car crash because it would violate her right against self-incrimination.
Caitlyn's lawyer filed legal docs claiming Jenner should not have to answer various questions connected to the crash while the D.A. ponders whether to file criminal charges.
Fact is ... it's common for any civil defendant in Jenner's shoes to lodge such an objection.
The stepchildren of Kim Howe, the Lexus driver killed in the crash, are asking Jenner to answer scores of questions, including whether she was taking any prescription or non-prescription meds at the time of the accident.
As TMZ first reported, Sheriff's investigators determined Jenner was NOT under the influence of any drugs or alcohol. But the question opens the door to personal medical information that could include hormone therapy.
