Mel Gibson Cleared in Alleged Aussie Pap Attack
Mel Gibson did NOT rumble down under with a female photographer ... according to his attorney, who says cops have concluded the whole thing was BS.
Gibson's lawyer, Christopher Murphy, tells TMZ ... police investigated the claim made by the photog -- that Mel had shoved her in the back and spit on her during a tirade last week -- and found no evidence to support her story.
Murphy says police spoke with witnesses in the Sydney suburb where the incident allegedly went down, and also reviewed security camera footage.
Mel had denied any wrongdoing from the get-go, and Murphy says this proves ... "The story is a complete fabrication of the truth as stated previously."
