Taylor Swift was only 6 years old when Lisa Kudrow made "Smelly Cat" a thing on "Friends" ... so maybe the reruns inspired her to bring Phoebe on stage Wednesday night for a reprise.

Swift closed out her Staples appearances with more stars jumping on stage, including Selena Gomez and Justin Timberlake.

She's leaving L.A. because she's run out of stars.
