Rachel Dolezal's getting called out by no-less an authority on being black in America ... than "Roots" star LeVar Burton, who says under NO circumstances does she get a pass!

Right off the bat ... LeVar made it clear he does not speak for the entire black community, but added ... "I can speak for Kunta [Kinte]!"

Channeling his "Roots" character, Burton went off ... saying Rachel needs to understand "being black in America is NOT a game." Toby Kunta also has a message for anyone comparing Dolezal to Caitlyn Jenner.
