The ghost of David Letterman will live on, and apparently so will his garbage.

Check out these pics of NYC pedestrians rooting through dumpsters outside the Ed Sullivan Theater Friday in NYC.

Pretty surprising ... lots of stuff associated with the show was trashed, including seat cushions, props and, to us it looks like the stage curtains.
