Daryl Hall Sues Over Rose Parade I Can't Go for That
Daryl Hall's new lawsuit is a sound-a-like from one of his Hall and Oates hits:
You're a float whore
And you've gone too far
And it really does matter anyway
I can't rely on your God damn money
You took me for a ride and it ain't that funny
Ok, we tried. Hall claims he was lured into appearing with his band -- sans Oates -- on a float during the Rose Parade a year ago -- a float called You Make My Dreams Come True.
According to the lawsuit Rural Media Group, which broadcasts his web show "Live From Daryl's House," promised to reimburse him for all expenses connected with the appearance, which totaled more than $87K. Hall says the company stiffed him. He's also pissed that Rural Media Group is hawking a Rose Parade DVD for $29.99 with his pic plastered all over it and featuring his songs.
Our favorite part of the suit ... Hall lists his credits. Which song do you think he mentions first? It's "Rich Girl," following by "Kiss on My List," "Private Eyes," "I Can't Go for That (No Can Do)," "Maneater" and "Out of Touch." And there's a second wave mentioned, and in order ... "Sara Smile," "One on One," "You Make My Dreams Come True," "Say it Isn't So" and "Method of Modern Love."
Look out here he comes.
