Kevin Dillon -- Cleared in Gas Station Assault ... Alleged by Teens

Just like Johnny Drama on "Entourage"... Kevin Dillon can now chant, "Victory!" -- after getting cleared in an assault investigation involving a mouthy pack of teenagers.

Sources with direct knowledge of the case tell us the incident happened back in July outside a 76 station in Pacific Palisades ... when Kevin allegedly confronted a group of teenagers he felt was harassing and taunting him -- mostly because he's famous.

Our sources say the kids told cops one of them got into a shoving match with Dillon -- and the teenager fractured his ankle being pushed to the ground.

LAPD detectives investigated and reviewed security cam footage showing the scuffle -- but we're told it was unclear who pushed whom in the video. The City Attorney's office ended up rejecting the case in November ... due to insufficient evidence.
