Jay Z got pissed off at a Frenchie who dared to ask, "Who is He?"

Jay fired back -- seemingly angrily -- "Who are you?"

Big debate in our newsroom ... some people think Jay -- who was taking a stroll near the Louvre with Blue Ivy in his arm and Beyonce by his side -- was upset that ANYONE didn't know who he was.

Others think he was ticked off because the tourist wanted to shoot video that Jay didn't want shot.

And the third point of view -- he wasn't upset at all.

Check it out. As far as the Louvre goes, it's actually more interesting than the Mona Lisa.
