Gary Clark Jr. thinks he's Hansel and Kanye West is Derek Zoolander ... because he told us he could make runway-kill out of Yeezy in a model walk off.

Our photog ran into the guitar great at the Grove in L.A. and threw out the the ridiculous, though appropriate, question -- he and Kanye are definitely fashionable dudes. Watch, Gary happily played along.

We have to wonder ... what would be Kanye's undoing? Inability to turn left, or inability to pull his underwear out of his pants?
