Rev. Al Sharpton -- I'm Meeting with NBA Commish ... To Prevent Another Sterling Debacle

The Rev and The Commish will meet face-to-face in NYC tomorrow -- for a closed-door meeting about the L.A. Clippers and how the league should handle civil rights issues in the future.

Al Sharpton and Adam Silver are all set to sit down together at NBA headquarters at noon tomorrow -- it seems Silver wants to make sure they're on the same page should another racist Donald Sterling situation come up during Silver's reign.

Of course, in the hours after TMZ Sports posted the Sterling audio, Sharpton threatened to organize a boycott and a rally in front of the NBA offices if Silver didn't immediately drop the hammer on Sterling.
