Forget school ties ... Duke alum Jay Williams tells TMZ Sports says the team he REALLY LIKES in the tournament is Iowa State.

Williams was outside PJ Clarke's in NYC yesterday when he gave us some last minute bracket advice. Yeah, we know it's too late to tweak now -- but Jay's pretty fired up about the Cyclones.
