Lexi Thompson I Turned DOWN the PGA I Don't Want to Play Against Men
Not every female athlete needs to prove they can hang with the boys ... so says LPGA star Lexi Thompson who tells TMZ Sports she's actually TURNED DOWN a chance to take on the men.
The 3-time LPGA tour winner was in Midtown, NYC today ... and we asked her if she's ever felt compelled to test her skills in the PGA.
Lexi says she not only DECLINED the opportunity, she doesn't WANT to play with men ... telling us, "The women's tour is good enough for me."
She continued, "It's hard enough out in the LPGA."
Lexi clearly has the skill to compete with opposite sex ... so is she being a chicken?? Or is she being really smart?? After all, there's a $1 MILLION check waiting for the winner of the LPGA points race.
