'Friday Night Lights' Star Grey Damon -- I Don't Really Like Football

You'd think a guy who played a star football player on a TV show about football would enjoy the sport of football ... but "Friday Night Lights" star Grey Damon says he could care less about the sport.

Damon -- who played star wide receiver Hastings Ruckle in Season 5 -- was leaving Hooray Henry's in Hollywood last night when he told us how he really feels about sports ... he doesn't give a crap.

It's fine, he's allowed to feel that way ... but that's like finding out the cast of "Big Lebowski" didn't give a crap about bowling ... or weed.

Guess we should've seen this coming ... 'cause Damon's lack of athleticism shined through on "FNL" when he tried to shoot free throws ... makes Shaq look like Reggie Miller.
