Lauryn Hill is NOT going to federal prison for tax evasion -- or at least that's what her old Fugees bandmate Pras thinks ... and when you hear his explanation it's hard to argue with the logic.
Pras was leaving Madeo yesterday when we asked about Lauryn's 3 month sentence for failing to pay taxes from 2005 to 2007 -- and he coolly responded ... "I doubt she'll do 3 months."
