Aerosmith -- Cancels Indonesia Concert After Bomb Scare
Aerosmith Cancels Indonesia Concert After Bomb Scare
Aerosmith has cancelled a concert in Indonesia scheduled for Saturday after two militants were arrested for allegedly plotting to blow up the Myanmar Embassy.
A promoter for the show in Jakarta blamed the cancellation on safety concerns -- it's unclear if there was a direct threat to the band or the concert venue.
Cops in Indonesia said two suspected militants had been arrested in connection to the bomb threats -- and explosives were seized. According to reports, the militants are suspected of plotting to use the bombs against the Myanmar Embassy in Jakarta to protest Myanmar's treatment of Muslims.
Aerosmith apologized for the cancellation and promised to make it up to the fans there, but there was no immediate news about rescheduling.
