Maria Shriver was in surprisingly great spirits earlier today -- laughing and smiling on her way out of a Beverly Hills salon ... just one day after Arnold Schwarzenegger's explosive autobiography hit book shelves around the country.
We asked Maria if she has plans to read the book, and what she thought of Arnold's "60 Minutes" interview -- but she wasn't too talkative.
As we reported, Arnold never gave Maria an advance copy of his bio "Total Recall" ... but even so, friends tell us Maria has no burning desire to read it.
