Kid from Kid 'n Play -- No Longer Wanted By Police

Kid is back in the good graces of LA law enforcement -- TMZ has learned, a judge just recalled the arrest warrant issued last week for the former Kid 'n Play rapper.

TMZ broke the story ... the warrant was issued after Kid -- real name Chris Reid -- failed to show up for a January 5th progress hearing regarding his 2010 DUI arrest.

But Reid tells us, the missed court date was a total accident -- and based on official court records, the judge bought his excuse ... quashing the warrant and reinstating Kid's probation.
