Heather Locklear has been discharged from the hospital where she was being treated in the ICU ... this according to a hospital spokesperson.
According to the spokesperson, Heather was released to the care of her family around 5PM this afternoon after doctors decided she was in good enough shape to be sent home.
The spokesperson claims Heather was in good spirits upon her discharge -- smiling and talkative.
TMZ broke the story ... Heather was hospitalized yesterday after downing a dangerous combination of alcohol and drugs. The hospital spokesperson has said it was NOT a suicide attempt.
