Kate Major -- Calls Cops on Michael Lohan ... AGAIN!!!

Kate Major called the cops on Michael Lohan early this morning ... TMZ has learned ... but police believe he is blame free this time.

Tampa PD tell TMZ they received a call from Major at 12:39 AM to report she returned home to find she had a missed call from a number she knew to be Michael's.

But according to police, MiLo was under "supervised custody" at the time of the call ... so it wasn't Michael who placed it. Cops told us, "It would appear that someone other than her ex-[boyfriend] had access to the cell phone."

Cops did respond and went to Major's home (see video below) but do not plan on investigating the incident any further.
