Casey Anthony's defense team was SO fired up about the HUGE not guilty verdict in the child murder case yesterday ... they rolled across the street and started POPPIN' BUBBLY!!!
TMZ has obtained photos showing attorney Jose Baez and his team having a champagne toast at the Terrace 390 restaurant ... located right across the street from the Orange County Courthouse in Florida.
Our friend Jane Velez-Mitchell was outside the restaurant doing the play-by-play for HLN during the celebration.
Of course, yesterday was a big day for Baez ... and Anthony ... who was found not guilty of killing her 2-year-old daughter back in 2008.
Minutes before the toast, Baez gave a news conference and told reporters, "There are no winners in this case. Caylee has passed on far, far too soon. Two-year-old Caylee's death should not be lost in her mother's requital."
So, after making that statement ... still think it was OK for Baez to raise a glass in triumph?

If it weren't concerning a child, I don't think it would be in bad taste. But there's a little angel that will never get the chance to grow up. Just because this was a "victory" for them, it isn't a victory that a precious life was snuffed out before it could be lived. This case shocked the country, and they knew that their actions would be seen. Because of that, it is definitely a disgusting thing to do.

I think they are just following the path of bad taste they have shown throughout the whole trial. They are being consistent. I cannot get over the fact that the American Justice system has done this AGAIN. OJ, Lindsay it is the laughing stock.

Bad taste in doing this publicly. They did win -and are entitled to celebrate - but should have been back at the office - behind closed doors. Such a highly controversial verdict -this is just inciting the whackos like Nancy Grace and her ilk.
