'Real Housewife' Attacker Charged with Felony
TMZ has learned ... the guy who allegedly went on a violent rampage against a friend of "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Lisa Vanderpump has surrendered, after being charged with felony assault with intent to commit great bodily harm.
TMZ broke the story .... Lisa and L.A. TV reporter Robert Kovacik were partying at the Beverly Hills Hotel Polo Lounge early Christmas Eve, when Roger Eduardo Talavera began taunting Lisa, then walked up to Robert and punched him in the face.
Kovacik had to be stitched up and we're told it appeared the assailant was wearing a ring or some sort of other jewelry because the gash was so deep.
Sources tell TMZ Talavera showed up at Judge Elden Fox's courtroom this AM and surrendered. Talavera pled not guilty and was booked and, according to the Sheriff's website, was released on $30,000. Talavera's lawyer, however, tells TMZ his client was released without posting any bail.
If convicted, Talavera faces up to four years in prison.
