Suge Knight -- No Gun Found in SUV Search
TMZ has learned cops did not find a gun during a preliminary sweep of Suge Knight's SUV -- right after he was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon earlier this week.
As we previously reported, cops tracked down and arrested Suge after someone told officers that the former rap mogul had pointed a gun at another vehicle at an L.A. gas station.
But sources tell us the gas station surveillance footage doesn't show Knight brandishing any sort of weapon. We're told the video -- which is now in the hands of investigators -- does show a group of people who seem to recognize Suge and approach his SUV. Suge never gets out of the car and ultimately drives away.
However, Suge's rep acknowledges that Knight was involved in a confrontation that occurred when, "some guy walked up to the window and started talking to the women inthe car disrespectfully."
The rep adds, "This made Suge mad so he left the gasstation. He never got out of the car and he never had any gun on him.”
We're told cops are not finished with Suge's car yet -- they've impounded the vehicle and plan on conducting a more thorough inspection.
