The 66-year-old resurfaced at an event at a Burbank hotel not too long ago, looking coherent.
Carol dated journalist David Frost (of "Frost/Nixon" fame) on and off for 18 years.
Lynley appeared in the 1991 movie "Howling VI: The Freaks."
