Paris and Nicole: Simply Cancelled
For jailbird pals Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, it's more pokey and less poking fun at the regular people of America, as their "reality" show "The Simple Life" has gotten the ax.
E! officially cancelled the show, reports the New York Daily News, but it could resurface somewhere else, though a FOX rep says "no decision has been made." According to Usmagazine.com, the pair were already "too played out" because of their off-screen antics, whispered an insider, and that during taping for this season, Nicole had become the real diva.
But don't fret for Paris just yet. Page Six says she's got a starring role in a movie called "Repo! The Genetic Opera," playing the daughter of Paul Sorvino (wonder how Mira feels about that), who will play an evil organ transplant magnate. The director says Paris "owned" the role when she auditioned. Plus, Popbytes reveals that the heiress will be the face (and ears and neck) of Italian jeweler Silvia Damiani for her "Bliss" line for the next three years. Looks like Paris will be just fine.
Usher Fiancee Had Baby "Scare"
While there's no word quite yet on the exact reason for Usher's ditching the altar last minute, his fiancée, Tameka Foster, is speaking out to People. She tells the mag that "all of the reasons that everyone is speculating and writing about" -- like Usher's mama's displeasure and disagreement about wedding details -- "are completely untrue."
However, she does say that she "had a scare" related to her baby -- Foster is several months pregnant -- and that she is now "fine and the baby is fine."
"Idol" Contestant Clark Popped for Drug Possession
Corey Clark -- the "American Idol" wannabeen who claimed to have had an affair with Paula Abdul, was arrested in North Little Rock, Ark. on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to police. When his vehicle was idling in a neighborhood early Monday morning, officers approached, and Clark exited the vehicle. A check revealed that he had outstanding felony warrants for his arrest in Arizona, where he was arrested and charged earlier this year for aggravated harassment and interference with judicial proceedings. Bail was set at $25,000.

Lane Garrison's powerful anti-drunk-driving PSA is getting a big push -- from Lane himself. 24Sizzler.com reveals an email that Garrison has been sending around, telling friends and family to "please check out" the video clip.
